Carrying on from yesterday I thought I might just post some more commonly seen posts and their translations for you, some of these are funny some are just common, hopefully you will enjoy both:
- “I’m totally gonna tag you, this is sooo FB material.”
- I am going to embarrass you on Facebook by posting this information and creating a link to your Facebook profile (tag) so everyone can see what a dufuss you are.
Proper response: “F#$@, please don’t!” - “Can we group chat on this?”
- Can we use the group chat function on Facebook or other platform to create a group conversation so we can all have our say?
Proper response: “Sure, meet you inside.” - “Are you going to be at the Tweetup this Friday?”
- Are you going to the meeting/party organised via Twitter held at a local restaurant or bar?
Proper response: “Are you” or “Yes, for sure and it will be so great to see you in person.” or “Not on your life, I prefer to keep my virtual friends virtual.” - “BTW ROFLMAO @ UR pic w/BFF’s totally wiped sooo NAGL!”
- By The Way Rolling On The Floor Laughing My Ass Off at Your Picture with Your Best Friends Forever Drunk As Skunks so Not A Good Look!
Proper response: “Um.. don’t know who took that picture and so not laughing
“ - “You should totally load that video of our Karaoke night onto Youtube.”
- You should upload that video of our Karaoke night onto YouTube.com so everyone on the planet can laugh uproariously at our seriously bad voices and make fun of us via the comments.
Proper response: “Do I look like Justin Bieber to you?” - “Is your resume on LinkedIn or do you have to email it to me?”
- Do you have a LinkedIn profile used as a resume by many so I can look you up without your having to email it to me? Proper response: “What’s wrong with email? Is it hard to do? But seriously, Yes part of my resume is on LinkedIn, I’m not that far behind.” - “Can you DM me on Twitter?”
- Can you please use the Direct Message function on Twitter to send me that information privately via Twitter? this can also be seen on Facebook as “Can you PM me?
Proper Response: “As long as I can fit it into 140 characters otherwise I may have to email it to you or send it as 6 DM’s of 140 characters each just so you get the whole message.” - “Do you diss people on your blog?”
- Do you gossip and bad mouth others on your web journal?
Proper response: “No my blog is actually focused on adding value to others lives by posting information they might find useful. Boring I know but there you are.”
Have you got any good ones you have seen? Post them here in the comments.

Tee Hee, I especially like the “Can you PM/DM me?” Email seems sooo passé now doesn’t it?
These are a hoot, Annie!
I shudder to recall some of the off-the-wall, totally mortifying, ridiculous, inappropriate, and downright silly posts I’ve seen on social media. And I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen “WTF” in a Tweet or a Facebook status update.
This is a post with personality!
